Next month are the Civil War blocks: OSU and UO. The November block is USC. Harriet won the block drawing.

Wendi said the group had a picnic last week at Avery Park. Next month will be a Halloween party at her house. Members are to bring a list of two things about themselves that others don’t know. She has forms to join next year.

In keeping with tonight’s topic, Karen said she brought books on antique quilts.

Cindy announced that the groups meetings ended in August. The quilts will be shown at the November meeting. She encouraged quilters to join next year and has forms to fill out to sign up. There are only five meeting a year.

Judy said that there are still three packets left and it’s not too late to join. The theme next year is “A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words.” The cost is $5.00 if you take a panel and $2.50 if you provide your own. Bring the panel to the October meeting.

Emily M. announced more quilts are needed for veterans. They have patriotic fabrics available.
They need fabric donations and backings. A long arm quilter is also needed.

Flo S. showed a series of quilts.
Teresa V. had a jelly roll rug she made.
Carmen S. showed a Judy Niemeyer quilt.

Barbara called for a 10 minute break at 7:30.

Marsha announced that the Guild still needs a backup photographer to take pictures at the general meetings. Also needed are a 2020 raffle quilt coordinator(s) and a Quilt’s In The Garden coordinator(s) for 2020.

The program was a video on antique quilts since our scheduled speaker, Julie Silber, had to cancel because of a death. She will be rescheduled.

Barbara G. dismissed the meeting at 8:50 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
Sandy M. Secretary MRQG
