Announcements:
- Due to reconfiguration of the fair venue, we will not be selling raffle tickets this year. The hope is that after they work out the floor plan that we will be there next year.
- NEXT MONTH’S MEETING will be held on August 31st NOT 24th. Andrea Brokenshire is our speaker and her show at the Museum for Quilt County will be hung and discussed.
- Quilt county banners/brochures are available. See Marcia
- Shannon Rettig, the first President and founding member of this guild, passed away July 17 from a brain tumor.
- Barbara is selling tickets at the Philomath Summer concert series on August 17. Phyllis and Libby will be helping her.
- Barbara is taking nominations for Vice President and Secretary for 2018-2019. In addition, the Program committee is looking for new chairs (the program slate is set for 2018, so you would need to introduce in 2018 and fill 2019).
- Quilt county shows are looking for quilt submissions:
- The Ark: animal quilts. Contact Barbara
- Congregational Church: My favorite things. Contact Libby.
- Unitarian Church: Quilting makes the quilt. Contact Carmen
- Bursts Candy: Sweets and a movie. Contact Naomi
- Fitness over Fifty: small to medium quilts made by FOF members. See Priscilla
- Gramma’s Attic is hosting a challenge show to benefit woman’s shelters weekend of July 29.
- Quilts in the Garden is looking for garden suggestions in the central area of Corvallis. Contact Tina W or Nancy A.
- 2018 Raffle Quilt is nearly done. Jean will quilt it in September.
Three items were auctioned off to benefit the Guild General Fund.
