Lynn: the service committee is showing quilts that were completed and returned this month. Thanks for bringing back those finished quilts. We have on going commitments to West Hills, Willamette Springs, Pastega House. We particularily need you to quilt the twin size quilts. Use these quilts to practice your machine quilting. We are asking again for your commitment to bind/quilt projects. We have projects in the back available to take tonight. We have requests from nursing homes for wheel chair quilts, these are small quilts easy to quilt and bind; there are fabric packets for sale, free magazines. Benton Hospice has dedicated a room to showing all the Valor quilts and as the veterans arrive, the quilt is handed out. Size is flexible for the Valor quilts – wall hanging to lap quilt. We have quilts for long arm quilters ready to go as well as smaller quilts for the home sewer to quilt and bind.
QnG: Beth talked about how valuable and fun her experience was co-chairing this event with Cheryl J. Qng makes a lot of money for the Guild. If we don’t have a chair/co-chair by the end of May, we will not have QnG. There is a committee with experienced members ready to be lead at the monthly meetings. July is the time to pick the gardens (four gardens are already on the list to look at). Job is running meetings Jan – August (once a month meetings),with more activity as you get closer to the month the show. Call or email Beth with questions.
